TODAY, whether you are going to be the next American President or you are just a butler, a social media presence is a significant issue. These days, social media has become an essential component of your everyday life. Without it, you would be secluded from the entire world. But does social media impact search engine optimization? The answer is ‘yes’. Social media can have high impact on your business very easily. Below it is why.

As we know, that SEO stands upon three ingredients: authority, popularity and relevance, social media can be the fastest way to drive popularity to your website. Social media can also send a huge number of links or traffic to your website instantly. Search engines give much significance to those pages that are heavily discussed in social media. Keep in mind the following if you really wish to utilize social media for your SEO.

Popular Audience

Work on the number of retweets (Twitter) and reposts (Facebook) as these define popularity. The more the page is retweeted/ reposted, the more importance search engines give to the page.

Authoritative Audience

Make sure your website’ followers also have good number of friends/followers. Search engines always prefer to have content posted from authoritative people.

Relevant Audience

Try to have content/ comment from related people. Search engines give importance if the content provider is connected to you as well. However, whenever you upload any content or comment in your social media pages, make sure that the contents are relevant to your services in order to improve your overall relevancy.

You make a lot of sales with your website if no one knows about your website. If you aren’t marketing and advertising your website then it’s not doing you any good. There are many Internet Marketing Websites that promise overnight results, don’t trust them. If you want your website to rank well in search engines and be found by potential customers you have to master the following elements. Link and relationship building, search engine friendly web design, friendly navigation structure, and the ability to build a customer database. Perfect Choice Marketing is the best choice when it comes to an Internet Marketing Website.

Link and relationship building is vital to get high search engine placement for the products and services you are trying to sale. The more places you advertise your website, the more chance there will be of potential customers visiting your website. Search engines also love a website that has lots of links pointing back to it. If your website is all over the Internet the search engines will see it as an important website and will push it to the top of search results.

When it comes to internet marketing a search engine friendly web design is also very important. Not only is it visually appealing to your visiting customers, but search engines love it as well. If it’s easy for a human to navigate it will also be easier for search engines to navigate and pick up important keywords. There are many technical terms involved with a friendly design but you get the general idea.

A friendly navigation structure is also very important. Once your customers find your website you want them to be able to easily get to the products they might need. Search engines can also detect a well designed and organized navigation structure.

Ability to build a customer database. Once a customer purchases something from your website you want them to come back again. Professional Internet marketing websites can help you build a customer database of emails and vital customer information. This information can be used to keep customers aware of sales and events you offer.

Marketing your website is not an easy task. It takes a lot of knowledge and a lot of hard work. Don’t trust your business to anyone Internet Marketing Website.

A domain name in simple terms is the string of text that an internet user types into the address bar to reach your website. For example, our domain name is perfectchoicemarketing.com. Why is the domain name you pick important to your business? There are several reason you should pick a domain name that is relevant to your business which I will discuss in this article.

First, you choose a relevant name for your business and you should do the same for your website. Your domain name should say something about what your business involves. For example, if your business involves marketing you probably want to try to use the word marketing in your domain name. Since Perfect Choice Marketing’s main goal is to market your business chiefly through the internet, we used the key word marketing in our domain name.

Second, search engines love for your domain name to be directly related to the content on your web pages. If your website is all about online games then the domain name perfectchoicemarketing.com would not be a good choice. Instead you would want to consider something like dannysonlinegames.com. Search engine spiders may consider your website unimportant if the content doesn’t match the domain name and would result in a lower search engine ranking for your main keywords.

Finally, choosing the right domain name will make it easier for repeat customers to find you online. You should try to find a short domain name that is directly related to your name or industry. Since there are thousands of new websites coming online each day it is sometimes difficult to find a short domain name relevant to your business. Fortunately, there are new domain extensions being introduced such as .net, .biz, .tv, .info that allow more options for domain names.

Choosing the right domain name for your business is one of the most important decisions you will make when starting a website. Don’t just grab the first thing that comes to your mind. Spend some time thinking about your domain name that is relevant to your business. If you need help purchasing a domain name don’t hesitate to visit our website, http://www.perfectchoicemarketing.com for more information.

Once you’ve got your website up and running millions of customers will start calling and emailing you, right? Wrong! A website isn’t a miracle drug for your business it’s a tool to inform your customers and potential customers about your products and services. So how do you use your website to generate real leads? There are hundreds of tips and tricks to getting your website noticed but a very important aspect I want to discuss is SEO.

SEO or search engine optimization is the practice of getting your website ready for search engines to find your website. Just like your physical business, the three keys to a successful virtual business is the same: LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION. If a potential can’t find you on the internet, I guarantee they won’t buy something from you.

So how do you use SEO to improve your chances of being discovered? Four key concepts to SEO is content, links, keywords, and metatags. Let me take a minute to explain each of these and how they will effect your search engine ranking and in turn the success of your online business.

Content:
Content is king when it comes to search engine optimization. Search engines love content and most top ranking websites are filled with rich and descriptive content. Don’t steal content from other websites. Just like in school you will be greatly penalized for taking other peoples work and claiming it as your own. Search engines are just as sharp as those college professors when it comes to checking your work. Also, don’t think you can use illegal methods to get an edge on your competition. An old trick was to create text the same color as your background in order to hide the text. Again, search engines can catch these blackhat SEO methods and you will be penalized.

Keywords:
Keywords are also a very important element of SEO. They can be placed throughout your website in content and meta tags to improve search engine rankings. However, be smart and don’t over do it. If you are trying to sale search engine optimization products don’t use the word search engine optimization 100 times on a single web page. It will cause the search engines to view your website as spam and you will be greatly penalized. Another often overlooked method of keyword usage is to use similar keywords to your main keyword. For example SEO, web development, search rank, keyword placement, and similar words will let search engines know you are serious about search engine optimization.

Links:
Search engines are starting to view links as a much more important factor in SEO. Every website should have inbound and outbound links. Inbound links are links on other websites that lead to your website. These links are much more important to search engines because they increase the credibility and popularity of your website. If hundreds of other websites are pointing to your website obviously your website must be important.

It is also important to have outbound links to other website similar in nature to your website. It doesn’t necessarily have to be your competitors but rather informational websites that discuss products or services related to your website. If you are selling SEO products links to websites that explain the details of the service may be important to search engines.

Meta Tags:
Meta Tags are becoming less and less important to search engines. They are similar to keywords but placed inside special code to let search engines know what your website is about. In the early days of web design they were very important but now meta tags are often spammed and some search engines ignore them all together.

Obviously, if you learn the exact science behind SEO you will be a very successful website owner. If you could be at the top of search engines for any word you wanted you would be rich, obviously that’s not possible. However, following these simple techniques will improve your search placement and in turn improve your chances of being found on the Internet.

If you would like for Perfect Choice Marketing to help with your SEO visit our website and send us an email, we will be happy to help.

I probably don’t have to tell you how important a website is to your business, but I will. Every day millions of people log on to the world wide web in search of products and services. If your business doesn’t have a website then you are automatically excluding yourself from those searches.

Since I’ve convinced you that you need a website with two sentences, let me now explain your options for your online presence. Do a quick search today on google and you will see there are 430 million search results for the key words web design. There are literally hundreds of millions of web design companies waiting to charge you thousands of dollars to design your businesses website. Do you really need to pay that much for your company website?

NO, another quick and cost effective solution is to create a blog for your business. When many people think of a blog they think of an online diary that people use to write useless information about their personal lives. Not anymore!

Many large and successful businesses use a blog for their website. A blog is a very effective way to communicate to your clients and potential customers. You can explain in detail your products and services, as well as write informative articles about your company niche. All this for as little as $10 per month!

If you are interested in getting a blog setup for your business visit our main website. Perfect Choice Marketing would love to help you get started in the process. In most cases we can setup a blog for your business in less than two days. It’s a quick, successful and very cost effective way to bring your business online!

If you don’t sell any products online you may think you don’t need a website? Think again. According to Worldbank Datafinder72% of people in the United States have access to the internet. Since there are just over 300 million people in the U.S. that means there over 216 million people who use the internet. Why is this important to you? Don’t worry, I’ll save you from all the boring statistics and get straight to the point.

First, if you don’t have a website there will be hundreds of millions of people across the world that won’t have a chance to see your products or services. Even if your business is very successful locally, think about your possibilities if hundreds of millions of customers were just a click away from your business.

Second, some of you may not have any products to sell, you only sell services locally. If you have a construction business, plumbing business, auto shop repair or cleaning service you may not see the benefit of a website. However, I have a personal story that may convince you otherwise. We are getting ready to build a house on some land we purchased several months ago. We don’t know any local contractors so the first place I turned to for help was the internet. A quick search for local contractors brought up hundreds of results. The ones I checked out were the ones with websites. It was nice to view pictures of their work, have access to their contact information and view their contact information all from the convenience of my home office.

Finally, it’s so cheap to have your own website most people will pay their monthly service in one sale. Perfect Choice Marketing has several plans starting as low as $10 per month. Please take a look at our services and feel free to contact if you have any questions.

One of our purposes for this blog is to help you understand some of the more technical terms used in website hosting and design. Many times web design and web hosting companies throw a bunch of technical jargon at the consumer in hopes of impressing them. Sure we may use those same terms, but at the same time we want you to understand those terms. We will constantly be adding new posts to this blog to help “dispel the jargon”.

First, bandwidth is not the width of your wedding ring nor is it the width of the rubber band you will use to shoot at a co-worker. Wikipedia actually defines bandwidth as, “a measure of available or consumed data communication resources expressed in bit/s or multiples of it (kbit/s, Mbit/s etc).” I’m sure some of you understand this completely, but for those who want to know the less technical definition let me try to explain.

When referring to websites, bandwidth is basically the amount of information you share with the rest of the world via your website. A web hosting company will typically allow you a certain amount of bandwidth each month. It’s very similar to a prepaid phone plan. You pay a certain amount of money for a set amount of bandwidth each month.

What happens if you use all your bandwidth in a month? This depends on the hosting company, some hosting companies will give you a warning letting you know you are close to your limit. You then have the option to pay an additional fee to add more bandwidth. Usually these prices are very reasonable. Some hosting companies may just shut off your service and you will have to contact them to add additional bandwidth.

How is bandwidth measured? Bandwidth is measured by the file size of the information you are sharing. Simple web pages use very little bandwidth. Thousands of web pages can be shown to visitors with little effect on your bandwidth usage. Large pictures, movies, music files, etc., consume much more bandwidth. Good web designers will find the best balance of picture quality versus file size. Some websites however may require high quality pictures such as a photography website. These websites may require additional bandwidth in order to operate.

Hopefully you now have a much better understanding of bandwidth and how it relates to your website. It’s not a complicated as you thought!

So you have figured out that you need someone to host your website, but do you really know what website hosting means?

When you pay for website hosting you are paying someone to store all the files associated with your website and display them to your visitors. When someone goes to your website they are actually viewing that page remotely from the computer where it’s stored. This computer is called a web server because it serves the requested information to the visitor in the form of a web page.

This process sounds really easy, why can’t you just store those files on your own computer and display them to your visitors yourself? You can actually do that but it’s much more complicated than it sounds. There are several reasons why the average person shouldn’t host their own websites.

Without getting too technical you must have a static IP address. You will have to purchase thousands of dollars worth of server software, virus and spyware protection and a firewall. You have to have a 100% reliable internet connection as well as power. A very dependable backup system must be implemented. Most importantly you must know how to implement all of these things.

For just a few dollars per month it’s well worth it to leave the web hosting to the professionals. Look for a reliable website hosting company with reasonable prices such as Perfect Choice Marketing!
